   Comments: this is a wrong headed and heavy handed response to a minor incident which could arguably be seen to be a young person exercising his right to free speech. The University of Cambridge should reinstate him to his course of study immediately to restore their long standing reputation for freedom of expression.

    Comments: The right to peaceful protest, and the responsibility to uphold that right, has been a crucial principle of democracy, and Britain has traded in the world on its commitment to those principles. I am a double-graduate of Cambridge University, and I object to its failure to protect its own students in such civilised, and civilising, rights.
