Pets Corner is asking for your support.

Pets Corner began back in 1968 when the Richmond family bought a small shop in Haywards Heath, Sussex. Today Dean Richmond has taken over from his parents to run what is now a national, ethical pet retailer with 98 stores throughout England.

Pets Corner's future in Sussex hinges on the progress of a planning application that would see millions of pounds invested and hundreds of jobs created in the development of their new hub.

The new site will:

  • generate 200 - 325 construction jobs over 24 months,
  • generate 370 - 465 full-time jobs.
  • generate £2 million in business rates - of which £1 million per annum would be retained by Mid Sussex District Council.
  • include a building that will deliver a minimum 85% score for a BREEAM outstanding rating.
  • provide a contemporary, state of the art and dynamic design that is genuinely considerate to the environment.
  • provide a retail shop, vets, offices, online store administration distribution and warehouse to support retail stores across the country.

Your support is needed to keep this family-run and Sussex-grown retailer close to its roots. Having to leave the company's natural mid-Sussex base would be an awful wrench for everyone at Pets Corner, not least the many staff who live locally and have been loyal to the company and family for many years.
