RE: “Mitra Kahrom” Dear Sir / Madam, I would like to announce my objection to the deportation of the political asylum seeker Mitra Kahrom, to Iran. Mitra’s political activities background against the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been well recognised. In Iran, the anti regime activists are generally known by the government, as being anti regime propagandists, and hence, condemned to death penalty. The Islamic Republic of Iran considers Iranian political asylum seekers as criminals, and their attempt to gain political asylum is known by it as an activity against the regime. The Islamic Republic of Iran has proved its aim for trial and punishment of the rejected political asylum seekers, in various cases. Mr Rahim Rostami, the young Kurdish asylum seeker, who was also deported from Norway, and arrested and imprisoned upon his arrival in Iran, was just one of the many such cases. This possible trial and punishment will be exercised based on the paragraph 7 of the Punishment Law of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mitra has been seeking political asylum, therefore, she is to be pursued and punished, according to the Laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. - According to the International Laws, no country, including Sweden, has the right to deport an individual fearing lawful arrest. - Therefore, without any doubt, the deport of Mitra Kahrom by the Swedish authorities to the Islamic Republic of Iran, is unlawful, due to the most likelihood of her arrest, imprisonment and even possible execution, upon her arrival in Iran. I therefore, wish to request an immediate action to prevent the deportation of the rightful Political Asylum Seeker, Mitra Kahrom. Many Thanks for your kind considerations.
