Please try and have a good fathers day weekend John, and don't let those "anonymous" people on other sites who keep voting over and over again as though they are many in numbers, when they are actually few in number and small minded _ get the best of you or your lovely family.Flag

Name: Dean S. on Jun 16, 2012Comments: I am pleased to see that we have a President like John who stands up for the volunteer umpires of the world. The man coaching from the stands should have left the park when the umpire asked him to leave several times in the 20+ minutes prior to this league presidents arrival. I'm sure it was not the first violation by this coach in the stands, nor will it be his last. Dean, previous umpire - retired.Flag

Name: Erik Chorlton on Jun 18, 2012Comments: I fully support John Rudolph and his decision to have this G2 Coach ejected from Everest Park after he had been repeatedly asked to leave. John Rudolph does not deserve to be treated this way after all that he has done for our families. Raising his voice should not mean that he should be removed from the board. The individual who ignored the multiple requests for him to leave the ball park is the one at fault here. None of this would have happened if this individual had been respectful of the rules and abided the request by the umpire and the request of the coaches for him to stop his actions and leave the ball park. This individual was the cause of this whole thing. He should be the one to apologize to KALL for all of this. John Rudolph should not be asked to take the fall for this. We are all lucky to have John and we all should continue to Thank him for all he does for our kids.Flag

Name: Gene on Jun 19, 2012Comments: Please let us know if you need anything John. You are a wonderful volunteer for all of Kirkland in various children’s sports & they would be negatively impacted if you let a handful of others drive you away with their mean spirited lies and hard feelings against you and this Kirkland league. After all of this dies down (this too will pass, wise men have often said) it may be difficult in today’s world for anyone in their right mind to volunteer if this kind or junk is what could happen to their good name in doing so. Thanks to all of you others who know John, and have taken the time to show your names and support, if he ever reads all of this I’m sure he will appreciate it. GeneFlag

Name: Brian Staples on Jun 21, 2012Comments: I've known John and have coached his daughter for six years. During that time, John (and his wife and his family) has been nothing but supportive of the coaching staff and referees in every game he was present for. I've seen John be generous (he provided the basketballs for the third grade team) and compassionate (I saw him carry his injured daughter from the sideline) and exemplify the important qualities of team sports - teamwork and sportsmanship. Obviously, John has my full support.Flag

He has coached our son in baseball and it was one of our best years in baseball because he was a positive, encouraging, amazing coach! John deserves to stay on the board! His efforts, encouragement, kindness and friendship to our children needs to continue in our community!Flag

Name: Bob Burmester on Jun 21, 2012Comments: Seriously? Has it come to this? John Rudolph IS Kirkland Little League. He puts in more time for youth sports in Kirkland than 99% of the parents out there. It absolutely sounds like he was baited - ironically it was by the shark. And, who was the individual that felt compelled to film - and conveniently had a camera at the ready - the moment John finally took things to the level he did. Parents acting like children are making an issue out of the league president raising his voice at someone who clearly was showing no respect to the league and its rules. If it is going to get to that level of pettiness, then I'm sure there are a million attorneys that would jump at the chance to go after the lady in the video that "physically assaulted" John. Perhaps having the video evidence of the woman assaulting John isn't such a bad thing...Flag

Name: Scott Steffens on Jun 21, 2012Comments: Shame on you people calling for John's removal as President of KALL. You are simple-minded and ignorant. Every person is entitled to an occasional outburst when pushed to their limits. It was clear he was dealing with an irrational man that had no respect for the rules. John takes on the tough task of running the league and has made many improvements to make this the best little league experience possible. Those of you that wish to complain need to have discussions with people that have kids in other leagues. You will soon realize that John has done a great job at keeping fees low and getting great participation from kids and parents and is very supportive of each and every kid in baseball and softball. Add to this that he takes on the task on coaching a football team in the fall. This task alone eats up several hundred hours of each fall. In the end, parents need to be supportive of his efforts instead of trying to find fault and judge him based on one incident in which the whole story was not provided.Flag

The gentleman and his lady friend who were asked to leave were asked to leave for a legitimate reason and should have complied with the rules. Perhaps next time the police should be called to escort this gentleman from the field.Flag

Name: Jim Simpson on Jun 22, 2012Comments: It's too bad those reporters didn’t capture all the good that took place that wonderful Friday evening at Lee Johnson Field on June 15th with our players and Kirkland National playing for the city championship, not to mention the smiling faces of those little all stars afterwards. Where are those champion pictures in the paper? Where is that front page headline? Both John and the players were done a huge disservice by a newspaper trying to push negative headlines and negative commentaries that are pure rubbish.Flag

Name: DAREN ANDERSON on Jun 22, 2012Comments: John could have handled it with a little softer response, however, I would give him a little grace for 5 seconds of a raised voice in consideration of the thousands of hours and positive impacts he has had on kids over the years. The fan and his lady friend were breaking the rules and it was not the first time. I hope this doesn't sour John on continuing his volunteering efforts.Flag

Name: Jim Simpson on Jun 22, 2012Comments: You will not believe this. The newspaper has now put a VOTE on the front page of their website asking the general public to vote. http://www.kirklandreporter.com/ at the bottom of the page Question of the Day Should the Kirkland American Little League president be removed due to the recent incident at Everest Park? Yes No Please make a selection to vote. This is a new low even for this newspaper.Flag

Name: Phil Heintz on Jun 23, 2012Comments: To me, this petition you fine people are signing warms my heart in coming to a friends defense, when a grocery store type, five cent newspaper, on a slow news day, decides to drag his good name through the mud. This man is a great individual. When he's done with little league, he should run for Mayor. I know I'd vote for him.Flag
