Tomorrow is the day we will be mailing our petition in. I owe a huge Thank you to the almost 200 people who signed just my copies of the petition. Its amazing what the community can do when they are passionate about a cause. It helps that Hugh and Rosie are two of the most kind hear-ted people in Goshen County it made getting signatures the easiest thing I have ever done. Did anyone read the article in the Torrington Telegram on February 8th, 2013 about Lone Tree Canyon? Well if you missed it you are missing out on a perfect example of how Greed and Power can make a person say just about anything. I have posted the article have look and for all my friends that are not local residents and are not familiar with Lone Tree Canyon let me give you the short version.My Grandpa ( Hugh Dowers ) grew up in Lone Tree Canyon and this is where him and my Grandma ( Rosie Dowers aka Nanny ) have chosen enjoy retirement at. A few years back a couple from out of town bought adjoining property. They offered to buy the land a few times,however; this is my grandparents home and was not for sale. The gentleman made an assumption in the article about why the road was moved, well I know why it was moved and it is safe to say his assumption is just that an assumption.
