There has been a huge amount of opinions and controversy surrounding Jeremy Clarksons comments on The One Show on 30/11/11 but sadly all the press and media seem to concentrate on those that are against him. I have listened to the show and whilst his comments are extreme, if you take them in context he was making a light hearted comment and view on a delicate subject.....He has not in essence done or said anything wrong. In my opinion Mr Clarkson is a hugely clever, humerous and entertaining presenter that offers his own opinions on any subject in his own extreme and controversial way. By this very nature opinion will be divided down the middle. There will be as many people that enjoy watching and listening to him as there will be that find him unfunny and in bad taste. That doesnt mean that whatever side of the divide you take is wrong - The world has gone mad with political correctness and we seem to have forgotten that a basic right of every individual is that of free opinion and speech.Those that do not like him should not watch or listen to him rather than trying to prevent the huge amount of people who do support and enjoy his presenting and shows from watching him. If these idiots (in my opinion) that complain get their way and he is sacked then I for one will not be paying my TV license in protest as my choice of viewing is being censored by a relatively small group of people.
