Support for Licensing application 16/00136 - Off The Cuff/The Live Music Shack

By signing this petition, I am giving my positive support to the above referenced application. I am in total support of Off The Cuff/The Live Music Shack extending their opening hours until midnight during the week and 2am at the weekends, as well as opening the additional arch. We believe that this establishment is a great asset to the community, that is does not cause any kind of public nuisance and that we hope that the work that they do with live music is part of the heritage of South London and what makes Herne Hill unique. Off The Cuff has been open for 2 years and in that time it has created a hub for musicians, artists and the creative community to come together from all ages. We support the children's programmes that OTC fosters and the charitable works the bar does, especially its involvement with local efforts like the Herne Hill Free Fim Festival.

I just saw the count tick past one hundred which feels totally surreal because when I started this I honestly thought maybe just my friends would sign it. It is so cool to see how many people actually care about keeping this music space alive and honestly reading through the comments about the film festival stuff today made me tear up a little bit.

I worked at off the cuff for a year and it is a great place to work and be. Two caring bosses, a home away from home and a great asset to the area. as a home owner in herne hill I for one love the venue.
I run the Music Metropolis website and go to venues like this all the time. They are massively important for unsigned and up and coming artists to find their audience and with out these venues the music industry in the UK will die out.
Off The Cuff brings regular live music to Herne Hill and is a much needed community asset - it serves the neighbourhood with genuine appreciation of creativity and expression and has raised quality of life in this corner of London Maureen
A great addition to Herne Hill's community vibe and I have never heard or noticed any trouble or noise disturbance to the surrounding area as it's so well contained and sound proofed by the arches.
Off The Cuff is a great venue for promoting new musicians & bands aswell as a great local place to show our Herne Hill Free Film Festival films and to have a nice cold drink. They also host various local and international charity fund raising events.
Amazing venue and great to have live music locally!

Love the independence and character of this place. As a home owner with a family in Herne Hill I believe we need a live music venue like this this that is open till later at the weekends - sometimes even people over 40 like to go out past midnight! ;) Happy to support!
