Name: K on Nov 16, 2012Comments: I feel this is a ridiculouse sentence for what was - a terrible terrible accident! Why should Gee take full responsibility for the actions of the girl/her friends/ her family plus his own silly mistake? I'm not being funny but if I had a 16 year old she wouldn't be on drugs, drunk and disorderly in central Liverpool with equally irresponsible friends! Yes I had a few drinks when I was sixteen, I wasnt an angel but it in my mates house or somewhere and I was never ever a danger to myself or anyone around me. Gee had a duty of are to the publi - well the girl also had a duty of care to herself and those around her as well, that is what a society is - the girl didn't look after herself and this is the result. Why should a man and his family be persecuted over this? She shouldn't have been leaning against that train - I'm not saying he is innocent, he breached health and safety and this is the result and I bet he has done that a few times before to drunken idiots delaying his journey around Liverpool. Yet this time it had fatal results. End of the day he should have stopped - but she shouldn't have been in that condition at such a young age. He shouldn't have to look after merseysides kids! Five years is criminal - lost his job and community service? I don't know. You can't put a price on a death or a time for justice but this isn't justice. I hope he appeals - and if any petitions go around I hope people sign. There are people who leave the house with weapons and attack people in the streets who fall awkwardly and die and half of those walk out of court - yet they had the intent! This man did not intent to kill anyone on that shift! A terrible accident, RIP Georgia Varley - you looked like a beautiful and vibrant girl. Free Gee!Flag

If McGee takes this amount of blame so should Varley's friends for failing to look after her and the person who sold her drugs. McGee has been portrayed as a monster when i will tell you, knowing him personally he is the most gentle genuine character and has suffered the up-most trauma through this tragic accident. My prayers are with him and his family, Free Gee.Flag

Chris must be feeling bad enough about the death. He does not deserve prison. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. Sad for the family but I think Chris is being used as a scapegoat.Flag

Where is the responsibility of the woman herself, the people who plyed her with drink, and the persons who gave her the drugs she was using?. The police and the CPS should be ashamed that this guy has been used as a scapegoat to cover their own failures.Flag

Name: R HALL on Nov 16, 2012Comments: In support of Christopher McGee, as I feel it is unfair that all the blame is placed on him, and the fact that an underage girl was allowed to consume alcohol illegally, and had taken illegal drugs, until she became drunk and incapable, has not been taken into account. Why haven't her friends been prosecuted for allowing her to leave the train in that state? Why hasn't the person who supplied the illegal drugs been prosecuted, or the person who supplied the alcohol? In fact, why haven't her parents if they allowed their 16 year old daughter to drink and take drugs illegally?Flag

It's couldn't be more clear that u do not stand past the line if u r not getting into the train and after jumping on and off then leaning against it mr McGee can not be blamed for this.Flag
