Comments: I feel like it shouldn't matter if he holds both positions. If he's done a solid job so far, why strip him of any title? Never met Coach Olsen personally but people I know regard him highly.

Comments: This is not the way we treat dedicated, loyal and valuable district employees. Coach Olsen is an asset to the Wayne School System. When he took on the role of AD, he saved the Wayne BOE from having to search and hire a new AD. He was and is the right person for the job! Refer to their decision on his selection and why they felt it in the best interest of the school and the community that he continue in his role as WH Football Coach also. This has not changed, only the BOE members. Obviously the same reason 'that' BOE took the decision to do the same for both AD's and Coaches at the time. Suggest the Wayne BOE take the personal issues out of their decisions and start considering the needs of the students and school community. Isn't that what the BOE job should be focused on achieving? The best interest's of the students? In the business community, we don't treat our valuable employees in such a manner. We treat them with respect for their hard work, dedicated service and commitment. Coach Olsen should be a role model for the staff of the Wayne school system for these attributes and treated with respect.
