Support Breckenridge Early Childcare Scholarship
Access to quality early childhood care, especially preschool programs, is a key factor in providing all children with access to opportunities. Many studies can be found citing the positive effects. One example is below. According to a study done by W. Steven Barnett, National Institute for Early Education Research (2008), "well-designed preschool education programs produce long-term improvements in school success, including higher achievement test scores, lower rates of grade repetition and special education, and higher educational attainment." Additionally, it found that, "increasing public investment in effective preschool education programs for all children can produce substantial educational, social, and economic benefits."
