This past year, the Hymers Fair featured a graphic anti-abortion display, complete with anatomical models of a pregnant woman's uterus and fetus in various stages of development.

Aside the from fact that such clinical models have no place outside a doctor's office or sex education class - never mind a family-oriented agricultural fair - the anti-choice movement itself goes against the rights of women enshrined within Canada's Charter of Rights.

The Hymers Agricultural Society (HAS) prides itself on providing a "uniquely country" family fair. Let's keep it that way!

Say no to the anti-choice movement and support a more progressive Hymers Fair.

Please use the comments section of the petition to tell us how you feel about the anti-choice display, and share your thoughts on what the HAS could be doing to attract more diverse vendors. This information will be brought to the Hymers Fair board at their next meeting.
