Dear Department of Justice, We, the people feel that there is a great insensitivity happening in today's modern culture. 'Super Mario' is one of the worlds most beloved characters. He's more recognizable than Mickey Mouse. However, Super Mario perpetuates a huge racial stereotype of Italians. He is portrayed as being a plump plumber from Brooklyn with a thick moustache (Insinuating that Italians are hairy). As a Portuguese person who is often confused for an Italian, this offends me greatly. We are asking that you legislate Nintendo of America to replace all Super Mario spirtes and models in games that reach North American shores. We propose a hero that is androgynous, non denominational, bi-partisan and does not suffer from an addiction to mushrooms. Ergo, we are asking Nintendo to replace Super Mario with Big Bird. Big Bird represents a true hero. He is non-offensive, clean cut, and equally as recognizable as Mario. Big Bird would gel much better within the ranks of Link, Sonic the Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot as non-denominational heroes. Myself and the preceding 30 million shawtys wish this so.
