Super Paper Mario Movie? Yes, Please!
Nearly two decades ago, the Super Mario Bros. Movie was released. In the minds of many gamers, this movie was horrible. I'll admit, I, too, think that the creators of that movie strayed too far from what it was based on. But that was 19 years ago. In 2007, Seth Gordon, the director of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, considered adapting Super Paper Mario into a film. It is unknown if he ever contacted Nintendo. The story in Super Paper Mario was certainly stunning by any standards - overcoming all odds, fighting for common good even when all seems lost, working together with enemies for a greater cause, and even finding true love across all obstacles. The video game has sold millions of copies, and whenever praised, is often of the story. Heck, I'll bet that if every piece of text were unchanged in the movie, it'd be highly praised, for it's witty humor, memorable personalities of characters, and overall excellence. Seth Gordon has already expressed interest in making this a film. Help make this reality, and together, we can get Nintendo's attention - this superb tale belongs on the big screen!
