LCRA Stan Rountree Water Surface Management 3700 Lake Austin Blvd. Austin, TX. 78703 512-473-3200 stan.rountree@lcra.org Re: Assistance in enforcement of Sunrise Beach Ordinance #227, section 3. Dear Mr. Rountree This letter is to inform you and the LCRA of a recurring problem in reference to a group of lake LBJ waterfront properties located in approximately the 800 Block of Sandy Mountain Dr., and Sunrise Ln. in Sunrise Beach, TX. 78643 . Our issue pertains to the gathering of boats in the shallow area of the lake, adjacent to the aformentioned residential properties. Problems arise from this "gathering site" in the form of excessively loud music which violates the City of Sunrise Beach ordinance #227, section 3. Loud noises deemed public nuisance sound system in boats / watercraft and other vehicles. (www.cityofsunrisebeach.org). Sunrise Beach police have responded to this situation on several occasions but lack the resources to ticket offending parties, (physically can not reach them in the water) so ultimately there are no consequences for multiple offenses of our city laws. Therefore we are requesting cooporation between your agency and the Sunrise Beach Police Dept. to maintain and enforce the laws of our community and consequently restore our ability to enjoy our properties. Sincerely,
