To: The City Council of Suffolk, Virginia Recycling is an important environmental issue and participation should be encouraged and expanded not eliminated. In July 2007, you approved the elimination of small container curbside recycling program in the Suffolk (VA) taxing district (Old Suffolk). Ninety-five gallon containers are easier to use than the small containers and generally have twice the participation rate. We, the undersigned, request the initiation of curbside recycling in 95 gallon roll-off containers throughout the entire 432 square miles of the city of Suffolk, Virginia. Sincerely, Residents of Suffolk, Virginia
