Suffolk County Red Light Camera removal The cameras are illegal and unconstitutional. They are being removed across the country for these reasons. They want to make it a "safety issue" but we all know it's about revenue. they set the yellow interval to the shortest possible. This puts drivers in "the indecision zone" Will I make it through the light, or slam on the brakes. Municipalities across the country are being sued by the camera provider when the public demands removal of the cameras. The answer to the safety issue is to increase the yellow not put cameras.
