Subcontractors are the heart and soul of the construction industry. We are the people who supply the labor and materials for every major construction project from banks to schools,hospitals,casinos,shopping malls and highrises. We are forced to wait months and sometimes years for payments this has to stop. If you want to stimulate the economy create a law that general contractors have to pay for our services two weeks after invoicing or we pull off the project. By doing this cash will flow all over the constuction industry. We will be able to meet our financial obligations to our employees and to our vendors. We will be able to retain our employees if cash flow wasn't a problem and our vendors would be able to do the same. Join our petition for subcontractors right to be paid in a timely fashion. It is time for change in the construction industry. We have to stop being part of this economic downturn and start being part of the solution.
