Recently STV has started dropping high quality dramas of their schedule that is produced by ITV. I very much doubt STV will be able to produce their own high quality drama's with the well known actors we love to see on TV, for a less amount that ITV allegedly charge them. I even think this could be a tit for tat, as STV relied on money for Taggart, which ITV seemingly have requested new episodes. Recently programmes such as The Bill has been removed with an annoucement just made that Doc Martin, the Fixer, Agatha Christi's Marple, Withering Heights and Blue Murder are to be removed as well. Also STV wont show the English FA Cup. This is an example of varying audiences they don't cater for. To present, we have only seen Scottish History, but this won't appeal to everyone, and certainly doesn't replace the above mentioned programmes. They state they will be rolling out more new programmes in 2010. Over 4months away. It's time STV listened to what their Audience want to watch. Without us, they are nothing, without viewing figures, they won't make money from adverts. Lets all sign, and speak out.
