Dear Chairperson Tierney,

We the undersigned support for the designation of the proposed Stuyvesant Heights Historic District Expansion.

Many of the buildings in the proposed Stuyvesant Heights Expansion are unique not only to Bedford Stuyvesant but to New York City. Landmark designation is, of course, the best way we have to protect these buildings and these beautiful blocks from insensitive alteration or possible destruction.

I hereby request that the Landmarks Preservation Commission designate Stuyvesant Heights Historic District Extension to preserve it for the use, enjoyment and education of future generations. Additionally, I look forward to the designation of additional worthy areas of Bedford Stuyvesant in the near future, including Bedford Corners, Stuyvesant  East , Stuyvesant North and Stuyvesant West.
