Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2004Comments: As things stand there is no benifit using the SL rather than the library as they both close at 11pm. Opening at least until 2am (as the reading room does) would allow more flexiblity for students who tend to work better at night, particularly as you are unable to take books out of the SL. Extending opening times would be a great asset for students although it would have to be done pretty quickly in order to impact on revision for the impending finals.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2004Comments: While not making use of the late night opening very often at the moment, knowing that I can stay as long as I like makes it a lot easier to plan my studying in advance, ie I know I won't have to pack up and leave at a certain time.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2004Comments: I would like to see the SL open 24 hours. Why is it that only computing/engineering students seem to be given 24h access to the Boyd Orr with no questions asked What is it that makes their work more important than ours!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2004Comments: Even if not open 24 hours, open until 1am. As it is only open until 11, I find myself going to Uni Lib instead.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 1, 2004Comments: I often work evenings and don't particularly like studying at home due to the noisy environment. Many a time I have wanted to study in the SL after work but this is not feasable at present due to the current opening hours. 24hr opening would be great!Flag
