Comments: This building is not only absurd, but it will take away from the Lawrence skyline that we have all come to love for decades. Lawrence is a small town desperately trying to stay that way with the UNIVERSITY as its main focus that can be seen all over town. All of these buildings and Walmart's are destroying the one reason I have lived in this town for the last 11 years. Try and think about something other than money. Take the hotel plans and move them out of this town....Perhaps Columbia, MO.

Comments: Detracting from the character of student life for the sake of money is a businesses dream - and sure to backfire in the long run. Save your self now and find a compromise considering the student body's voice.

Comments: KU doesn't need a luxury hotel blocking the view of Mount Oread, and DEFINITELY isn't worth the destruction of some long-standing businesses that have become part of KU's student traditions.

Comments: The University is here for one purpose: students. I can't name a single student out of the thousands here that would agree to tearing down a historic establishment to build a massive hotel on campus. This is all ridiculous.

Comments: 1) The inn is a serious threat to surrounding property values and will lead to higher rent in this student-filled area of town. 2) It will increase traffic to three decidedly mediocre intersections as well as routing that traffic through the middle of town and several pedestrian-heavy neighborhoods, as the proposed inn will not be on a major city street. 3) There are other potential development sites equidistant from campus which would incur neither of the above-listed drawbacks.
