Eftir að hafa barist fyrir því í langan tíma að fá hluta námslána niðurfelldan í formi styrkja er markmiðið loks í sjónmáli.
Hins vegar eru nú blikur á lofti og óvíst er að styrkjakerfi LÍN líti dagsins ljós enda eru einungis örfáir dagar eftir af þinginu.
Með því að taka þátt í þessari undirskriftarsöfnun styður þú íslenska stúdenta og skorar á alla þingmenn að samþykkja hið nýja frumvarp.
Við leggjum ennfremur til að þingmenn taki sér orð Harry S. Truman, fyrrum forseta Bandaríkjanna, til fyrirmyndar en hann sagði: "Það er ótrúlegt hverju er hægt að áorka ef þér er sama hver fær heiðurinn".

After years of fighting for partial student grants Icelandic students can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
However, Alþingi, the Icelandic parliament, only has a few working days left and the government does not seem to be putting their force behind the issue.
By signing this petition you support Icelandic students and challenge all Icelandic members of parliament to approve the new bill on LÍN, the Icelandic student loan fund.
Furthermore we suggest for MP's to take into account the words of Harry S. Truman who said "It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."
We need to improve our society and the first step to getting there is by approving the new LÍN bill.
