Ever been denied loan funding? Or not given enough to pay for all the costs associated with going to school? Students live in poverty, little help from student loans and the government, some are even forced to drop out of school because they can't cover the costs. This isn't right, post secondary education is a right, not a privilege for the rich. The government needs to start giving real help to students who are simply trying to make a life for themselves. The student loan assessment process needs to be reformed, other factors need to be considered. Live in residence, and still need to pay thousands out of pocket to cover the costs? Have a job over the summer and make "too much" money? Graduated and now trying to pay off your loan, plus interest? Loans should be interest free, the government should not be making money off of our education!
