The Stromeferry landslip last year cost the Council more than £3 million, and millions more were lost by businesses struggling in the wake of the disaster. We can’t let this keep happening.
The cost of a permanent solution - either an improvement to the road or a replacement like a bridge or tunnel - could run to more than £100 million, but the SNP Scottish Government still won’t confirm that they’ll pay their share to make our roads safe and usable all year round. Meanwhile, businesses and individuals are at risk of more chaos on the road.
