Sir Alan Davies should be stripped of his knighthood. I say this as the parent of children who attended Copland secondary school during the period of time he was fabricating financial information. During this time resources for our children was inadequate and they had to learn in buildings that were falling apart whilst Alan Davies received significant bonuses. With your support from this electronic petition I will send a complaint to the Honours & Forfeiture committee requesting that the knighthood awarded to Alan Davies for services to education is removed. The complaint will be on the basis Alan Davies received a 12 month prison sentence suspended for 2 years, after pleading guilty to false accounting at Southwark crown court on 3 October 2013. His knighthood was for services to education, which he clearly does not deserve after his actions at Copland school Finally Judge Deborah Taylor, said: "You were in a position of trust at that school. Your dishonest behaviour represents a fall from grace. You have failed in your duty as head of the school – in failing to ensure proper, transparent management and, more importantly, you lied about it and resorted to dishonest fabrication. "What sort of message did that send to the children?" He was charged with fraud (theft from our school) but has been fortunate to have that charge dropped. He should feel the full consequence of his action which should include loss of his knighthood
