It needs to be emphasized that street children represents a worldwide phenomenon despite cultural differences. The backgrounds of street children, despite some differences, are remarkably similar. Although our debates reflect aspects of the South African street child's condition, most of these are common among street children internationally.
We want the WC authority, FIFA, & the SA FA to recognize these children's plight and review ways of incorporating them into this historic event(first WC on the African continent. There have even been suggestions of things like them handing out fliers, acting as guides(no one knows the streets better than these kids)and selling sponsored merchandise.
Please offer your views and sign the petition which we intend forwarding to national and international media organisation to highlight our feelings.
Give them a job! Such a missed opportunity to show the world how we really care about our own.

These kids know every corner of the city better than anyone. Why not give them a real chance instead of just hiding them away for the cameras. It would be a huge shame to ignore them now.
