    Comments: Having played in pipe bands for nearly fifty years, I have been aware of Strathclyde Police Pipe Band for a very long time. As well as being an outstanding musical group, it has been an ambassador for Glasgow, for Scotland and also - and most importantly - for Scottish Police forces, especially its own. To allow it to disband would be unfortunate for the force and also for the nation.

    Comments: There are so few Scottish Pipe Bands able to compete at the highest level, it is imperative that Strathclyde Police continue to take part in all the Major Competions. I am convinced members of the band will move to other bands if they are allowed to compete at only two majors.
