Name: Brenda Lee Ford on Jan 8, 2007Grade/Involvement: 06Smithfield Resident: 01Comments: Bethany St.Pierre is one of the best teachers that smithfield ever had. It is a shame that a situation like this one caused such upheaval and distress amongst the students and in St. Pierres life. If it were up to me she would have her job back in a heart beat.Flag

Name: Paul Lynch II on Jan 9, 2007Grade/Involvement: 06Smithfield Resident: 01Comments: I think that the School Commitee's decision to not reinstate Mrs. St. Pierre after all charges have been cleared, is a brash and highly politicized decision that clearly reflects the serious issue within Smithfield's School system. That the councilmembers are extremely out of touch to the public, the children, and education as a whole.Flag

Name: Lindsay Hanson on Jan 9, 2007Grade/Involvement: 06Smithfield Resident: 01Comments: I graduated from Smithfield in 2004 and came to know Mrs. St Pierre quite well because I was involved and participated in after school activities. She was always one of the last people in the building to leave, putting a 110% effort into everything and putting her students' education first. This world needs more teachers like her and it is ridiculous that she is being kept from doing what she is so talented at.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 10, 2007Grade/Involvement: 06Smithfield Resident: 02Comments: I personally think the Smithfield School Committee should be taken to task for this erroneous decision. Why didn't they wait until the judge's decision was handed down before terminating Mrs. St.Pierre I always felt a person was innocent until PROVEN guilty. I think there is a personal agenda behind this decision. Please do the right thing and give this much loved and respected teacher her position back. Thank You!Flag

She took my son and his girl every where with her. She spoke to them all the time about being good students. She talked of her students as though they were her own children she went to school on her summer off to work on things for her student when they would return from summer break. She only thinks of her students her kids. Wish my teachers were half as caring as she is.Flag
