Allan CarterHaving visited, perhaps hundreds indeed maybe thousands of rugby clubs in a long playing career and now as a spectator, mostly of my sons who play I was dumbstruck by what I can only describe as one of the most shortsighted and indefensible beaurocratic decisions I have ever heard of to deny what is obviously a responsible and well run sporting club the right to keep their club open to at least 11 pm. I have seen many many clubs in much less suitable situations able to operate perfectly happily with their neighbours.
Julia TaylorSt Peters RFC is a family orientated club and the whole community would benefit enormously if hours were increased.

AnonymousAs a local resident, I can see no practical reason for the restriction of opening hours
minster areaAs a resident of the Minster area I feel it only fair to point out that the original planning application and consequent licience aproval by CCC stated restricted trading hours up to 21.00 this was accepted and approved by St Peters RFC and I cannot see that since then nothing detremental has happend to allow an increase in the trading hours of the club.
Mike CrockerOne of the best most orderly clubs it has ever been my pleasure to know and belong to

Karl StokesI live within 100 meters of the club on Sturminster road. Obviously the last thing I want is for additional noice late at night to cause a disturbance to my family, but I have a young son who I would like to be involved with rugby and also see St Peters as a positive for the local community. I am signing in favour of this petition as I would like to see the club succeed. I have visited the club on a few occations and believe that visitors are responsible enough, and understand the noice concerns as to why the club is unable to operate past 9pm at the moment that opening an hour or two later will not cause myself as a local resident any additional problems.
Mike PayneSt.Peters RFC run 9 junior sides ranging from under 8s to under 16s.The club provide these facilities and kit for all these children at great expense. The restriction on their trading hours adversely affects their income. In the end it’s the junior section that will suffer from lack of investment if these draconian measures are not removed. This is a forward looking and progressive rugby club - not a home for mindless drunkards.

patrick nolanAs coach of St. Peters under 10s i find it difficult to understand why the council are rejecting our efforts, the parents of my team of which most live in the surrounding area are also mystified by this, we need a club to socialise to discuss events etc but we cant use the club as it is shut by 9pm, the coaches of the mini section give up all their spare time to teach rugby and disipline to keep these youngsters off the streets and terrorising local communities, you should go down there on a Sunday morning to see what i mean

sharon huntleythis is a respectful club with very respectable members the facilities are great which are not being used to their full potential ,
AnonymousIt is a proud respectful well run establisment and a bonus for the area. what would be there if it was gone??

Stephen PritchardI attended the annual dinner this year June, and also other functions at this club and have always found them to be run very properly. The closing time at present is ridiculous and needs to be brought into the 21st century.
