V6E 1G4 | We don't need any more parking spaces. We need shelter for the homeless!

V5K 2B5 | Turning Storeum into a shelter is one action that could be taken by the City of Vancouver to help with the homelessness crisis. We should be building much more social housing, but shelters are necessary as an interim step in ensuring that no one is required to sleep on the streets.

V8M 1P4 | We need more homes for our citizens. It's simple. It's a fact. Our 'leaders' are dragging their tails. I want to see an honest assessment of our provincial surplus (it'll be $4 billion) and then I want to see the first $2 billion spent on social housing like the old Homes BC model. It is immoral to keep on waiting and debating while people die on our streets and moms and kids are separated from each other by a Ministry with no heart. Act now. (By the way the snd $2 billion should be spent on child care, business taxes should rise and that money used for health care and education. The right is 'starving the beast', a knickname they have for social safety net programs. It's time to feed the people: food, housing, health care, day care, education. It's time to cultivate the nation.

V7W 2K2 | Action must be taken -- too many people have no home!
Anonymous | Any move to create affordable housing or emergency shelter is worthwhile. We have a huge need for adequate affordable housing in Vancouver and this need grows bigger every month. Soon low-wage workers will not be able to work in Vancouver because they can not afford to live here.

V5J 1T4 | The city needs to be creative about providing a wide range of housing. The empty Storyeum building could be used for affordable, SOCIAL housing.

v6r1a5 | The very LAST thing this city needs is another fitness facility! Lets take some preventative measures towards health and provide some homes or shelter for people who actually have health related issues, not those who need to fit into a size 6 wedding dress.
