Financial mismanagement at Woodley Town Council has created record losses and massive debts. We are calling for the resignations of the Three Councillors who are responsible for budget setting (Cllrs Beth Rowland, Coling Lawley & Alan Clifford). Woodley residents pay dearly for their mistakes: a Woodley Band D taxpayer pays £114.65 a year yet in Earley they pay £60.77.
1.The District Auditor has just severely criticised Woodley Town Council for not providing value for money for its taxpayers
2.Residents are heavily taxed to subsidise Bulmershe Leisure Centre to cover £189,000 losses
3.Leisure facilities have combined losses in 2008/09 of £298,668 up from £261,282 the previous year
