STOP WILDMOOR QUARRY DEVELOPMENT

65 Signatures Goal: 100

The Wildmoor Quarry Development planning application JA2058 will: Create a massive industrial / commercial development on GREEN BELT LAND. Lead to the loss of farming. Change the landscape of Fairfield forever by removing completely a hill and quarrying it away. Open up the possibility of contamination of groundwater which supplies 25% of the people of Bromsgrove. Lead to a huge increase of lorry and other associated traffic on local village roads with attendant road damage and more congestion on the A491 - already acknowledged as one of the most dangerous roads in Worcestershire. Lead to Wildmoor becoming the Waste Bin of Worcestershire with all kinds of waste being imported to the site. Increase local vermin attracted by handling food waste. An increase in pollution concerning noise, dust and flies. Increase the existing concern about lack of management / enforcement over handling illegal wastes.
