The use of 'State-recognition' so-called status to legitimize the wholesale theft of Tribal identity, art, culture, language and more MUST BE STOPPED! States are recognizing all sorts of strange groups who may or may not have any legitimate heritage. So-called 'State-recognition' is inconsistent with no guidelines. Only the Federal government per Section 8 and Amendment 10 of the U.S. Constitution (‘Indian Commerce Clause’) have the right to acknowledge Tribal governments and thus determine Tribal citizenship.
