I didn't fight for my countries freedoms to have them ripped out from under my feet! I DON'T smoke, yet I can see where this type of ban will lead to more of our personal freedoms being depleted every day! Stop it NOW!!!
Let private business owners decide for themselves. The free market should decide for them not the state!

This is more than a matter of smoking in public.....this is just the beginning of government interference and authority in matters of personal rights. Unless the government has the "balls" to first tell cigarette manufactures that their products are illegal and may never be for sale (and lose revenue in taxes) and threaten to fine and hall people who smoke off to jail (effecting their ability as wage owners and tax payers), this sissified "ban" is just folly. If the government's goal is to have all people quit smoking due to health issues, DON'T SELL THE DAMN THINGS AT ALL! This way you'll just someday pack your nursing homes with people who lived long enough to get other chronic diseases such as Alzheimer's, heart disease, other lung disease, poor or no mobilization due to arthritis etc. that are associated with "OLD AGE". Seems to me where there is action, there is an equal reaction! And all this sends to the citizen's is a feeling and sense of an emerging BIG BROTHER philosophy and strong- hand policy of the US government. Will there someday come a ban on something that NON-smokers find precious to them as well? I hope so!!

Smoking bans in Maryland have caused irreparable damage to many fine restaurants and clubs. Please don't allow this to happen to the citizens and businesses in your state. Note: I am and have been a Maryland resident for forty three years.

don't do it wisconsin. i live and work at a bartender in MN and I can tell you right now, we are all suffering
I believe it's up to the individual business on whether or not smoking is allowed on their property. I also believe a smoking ban will have a huge negative impact on local businesses and hurt the economy even more.

Let us hope that the actions we take today ensure a free tomorrow.
I am an avid non smoker and I am against the ban. I have seen my sponsoring bar close in Madison due to the smoking ban. I played ball for JT's Friendly for years, now I need to find a new sponsor before volleyball season.

In the past Wisconsin has always been a forerunner when it came to the health and well- being of it's citizen's. I can't believe we are so far behind our neighbors on this. This is a no-brainer people, tobacco kills!
I am from the Nanny state of MN and being a smoker, if I want to enjoy a night out and be able to enjoy a few cigs I come to Hudson. I

When one part of freedom is taken away can lead to more freedom to be taken away, and that is not being an American nor is it not America.

Hitler banned smoking some seventy years ago and we all know where that lead to, ? Quote. "The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule " Thankyou.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! For the amount of TAX you steal from the smokers you could build every business with its own smoking building... But instead you make them go outside in 40 below weather to have a cigarette... Sounds like taxation without representation to me!!!!
I lived in CA for almost 4 years and ranted and raved about our wonderful precious rights I realized we still had in WI but not until I was in a place that took all of them away. Now I am back in WI and they want to take everything we have left. Demand your right to choose at any cost.

I am a bartender at t-bones bar and grill. The smoking ban went through our little city of marshfield, wi. IT IS HURTING OUR BUSINESS BIG TIME. Sales down over 60%
How can the government ban something that is legal? Whether smoking is allowed in an establishment should be up to the owner of the establishment. Give the residents of Wisconsin the "right to choose" if they want to go to a smoking or nonsmoking environment. Government should mind their own business. How about working on how to lower the price of gas in Wisconsin!!!!!
