Name: Nancy Buchanan on Jan 28, 2010Comments: Niagara Falls is just that...Niagara Falls and the natural beauty surrounding it. There are many other sites available to build hotels. The erecting of buildings is not just about beauty either...it is changing mist flow from the Falls making the Falls less visible. This is the main reason why people come to Niagara!!!...to see the Falls.Flag

Name: Maria Cabras on Jan 28, 2010Comments: PLEASE leave it alone, it will distort the view of one of the wonders of the world. That is criminal. People with lots of money always do whatever they want to. They own everything, even if they should not have the right to. They are able to change height restrictions, and rip down historical buildings too. As in the case of the Port Dalhousie Tower... I seen it happen where I live in Port Dalhousie (St Catharines) We fought against a giant condo in the historical part of the Lakeside Park area. It even meant ripping down historical buildings. I have never seen so many people opposed to this. It didn't matter, the people with the money always win their way. This ugly giant building will never compare with the view that will be taken away. The condo people always want the most beautiful places to cash in on and exploit. It makes me angry. Doesn't Niagara Falls have enough big buildings already? Are there enough tourists to fill them? Do they really need more??? In the long run will it hurt the business of other hotel owners there already? We have enough big buildings there already. Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leave us our view ! Don't obstruct it with another big building. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Mike Baldasio on Jan 28, 2010Comments: The Federal Government should protect and stop the destruction of all the area around Niagara Falls. The destruction of this once beautiful and natural area is only for the benefit of a few, and as you can see in the last 10 years with all the billions spent on these ugly concrete structures the city is in debt, falling apart and a large portion of the residents live in poverty. We need a new council some one who cares about our natural and historic areas. Do not vote for any of these people except 1?Flag

Name: Bud Hightower on Feb 1, 2010Comments: It is time for the people entrusted with decisions on the use of land in Ontario to recognize the real impact of development on the world we will leave to our children. Profits for developers and taxes into the coffers of municipalities and regions must not be the measure of "good management" any longer. Once a development is built on land, it is gone. our children, and your children are our legacy. When we leave this earth, we leave them the results of our actions. Look at the children before making decisions which WILL impact their, and our, world.Flag
