Everyday American workers get up in the morning and already have one hand tied behind their backs, because of illegal foreign subsidies.
Illegal subsidies and similar bad practices by nations like China have cost our nation over 3 million good-paying jobs and hundreds of billions of dollars in wealth, and it threatens to do even more damage if it is not dealt with soon.
We can’t turn back the clock and we can’t close our borders, but we can insist that every nation in the world follows the rules. It is a simple issue of fairness.
This Administration has turned a blind eye on China’s unfair trade practices. We cannot allow this delay to continue. This is a fight for all America.
We, the undersigned, join Senator Bayh, in demanding that the Bush Administration take action to stop illegal subsidies before appointing an new trade representative. |
