A message from Jass Stewart:
The proponents of the Brockton power plant continue to push forward, despite the opposition of citizens, every elected official representing Brockton, and the recent power plant explosion in CT. At some point in the near future, the power plant proponents will ask to come before the Zoning Board to seek a height restriction exception.
•The proposed POWER PLANT BUILDING is 6 times taller than a ranch house and 2 times taller than the D.W. Field Park Tower.
•The SMOKE STACK would be 12 times taller than a ranch house and almost 4 times taller than the D.W. Field Park Tower.
•The COOLING TOWERS would be 2 times taller than a ranch house.
Please express your opposition to this plant: WE, the undersigned, DO NOT WANT the Zoning Board of Appeals to grant a ZONING VARIANCE for these structures. To grant a variance would degrade our quality of life and property values.
