Name: John J. Rahmer, Jr. on Oct 30, 2007Comments: I live right next to Harriman State Park. I heard planes overhead while I was hiking there on 10/28/2007. Thats the sound of nature I also hear planes pass over my home during ALL HOURS OF THE DAY!!!!! Including the hours 10PM-12-PM, possibly latter (I should keep a log). I have been a Sloatsburg resident for approx. 30 years and have never noticed such noise pollution as I do now. And I understand more air traffic is on its way NO WAY! Please help stop this nonsense!Flag

Name: Carl Schneider on Nov 6, 2007Comments: To Whom It May Concern, I heard on the news that the flight plan from Westchester Airport was being changed and that a local Rockland municipality had fought it and lost. I had NO IDEA just what a tragedy this really is until now. I live off of South Mountain Road in a beautiful community with dirt roads, no streetlights, and a small lake. I have deer in my yard and hawks in the sky. It is beautiful I spent literally years of my life looking for a place like this to live and it was until very recently EXTREMELY QUIET! With my windows open I can hear the brook behind my neighbors house. I suddenly have prop planes, helicopters, and jets flying so low I can tell if their landing gear is down or not. This is not once in a while; they are going over my house all day every day. I had a jet at 10PM last night and a prop plane wake me up at 5:15 this morning! I dont think the allies had this much airpower over France in June of 44. The effect on my peace of mind as well as my property value is incalculable. I realize that Westchester considers Rockland some kind of red headed stepchild but quit dumping on us; we don't want your noise pollution! If I ever even used Westchester Airport I might not be so vocal, I never use Westchester airport as it is a shorter drive for me to Newark. There must be a better solution, why should we (Rockland) have to absorb the noise from Westchester's airport Thats Westchester Airport .why dont the planes stage over ..oh I dont know ..maybe .WESTCHESTER Sincerely Furious, Carl SchneiderFlag

Re- routing over Rockland is NOT an optionFlag
