   Comments: My daughter was the victim of abuse by her uncle for over 10 years. He is now in prison but there is still not a day that goes by that we do not still feel the pain of it all. I would be happy to anything possible to make certain that this does not happen to any other family. I would be happy to share our story with any that it may help. We can stand up and be counted and do something to stop the injustice of it all. We all have a voice and its up to us to use it loud and clear.

    Comments: i know where this is coming from. im one of the lucky ones,i guess. i too have been abused in my life from my soon to be ex husband when i can geyt the money to divorce him. he too has abused all kinds of women in his life.including me.but i got away from it.sometimes i still get messages from him.but he knows to leave me alone,and go on ot the next victim.hes had so many abusive relationships .he just keeps on going beating on his women, i found out a little to late and had to go through a little of it.i finally faced having a miscarriage that probaly came from one of his incidents.i already have 3 kids to him,but i was pregnant with the fourth one.when he came to my house and was choking me in front of his other kids.that night we all got away after i took the police to my house. he only got a fine out of it,but he went back to one girl he later abused again and over agin.hes with a new girl ,now.so i guess hes leaving us alone because hes abusing her at the moment.i tryee tellin her to get away from him,but i think shes the one thats with him. i know hes abused her because she found me for him on myspace and he was lettin me bad messages ,and then he wrote me right safter that tellin me he abused her too. but i told her to get away from him.but i think hes got her now. she told be how she looked after he got a hold of her,too. but i jusyt wanted to let you know i know where this all comes from. thank you maureen gleason

    Comments: As a teacher and advocate of women's safety and defense for many years, I have worked with 1000's of abused women and children. It must stop. One of the main solutions is Educating them and letting or voices be heard. My own sister was abused by an uncle when younger, and in her previous marriage. It still affects her life today.

    Comments: I a victim of domestic violence, a battered mother, the county i was living in does not reconize domestic violence at ALL!! they are blue collar men who want things to look as if we did it.. They take our homes,our children even though we are stand up moms,there for making the abuse already bestowed upon us look double. The mom's in my county usually give up and go back to ths spent and ieabuser, or commit sucicide,for the loneliness for our children becomes unbearable 3 years ago i divorced after being married all my life,went broke in attorney fee's over 20.0000 dollar i spent and got no where,the judicial system did not protect me and i had the battered womens shelter behind me.i am going for my son, i can not bear another dat,another christmas,and he said he would kill me if i came back around,i pray i suceed and can get my 8 year old andrew back. i have not seen him since last april,he left nd gave me no address,he took andrew out of school 2 days before school was to let out and i have looked everywhere, he may have taken him to his rich parent;s in maryland..please help by signing this petition and with 500 signatures we can send it to the president,,Thank you,in jesus name me to.
