We, the undersigned, are united in the belief that it is our right to determine how our private and secure information is to be handled and serviced. The prevalent practice of outsourcing this information, which has resulted in inferior servicing and an increased potential for fraud or identity theft, is henceforth only to be done with our complete knowledge and consent. This is information that includes, but is not limited to, our social security number, name in conjunction with date of birth, personal health history and details, and personal banking/financial history and details. We are demanding that swift and immediate action be taken to create a separate, clearly stated and entitled document that will be sent to the owner of this secure information informing of the intent to outsource data, and an option to approve by signature. If this signature is not obtained, outsourcing may NOT take place. In addition, when any outsourced agent needs to request secure information from a United States citizen, there must be a verbal or written disclaimer advising that this transaction is being performed outside of the United States, and consent is needed to continue. We are demanding that these consumer protections be enacted immediately and separately, and not as an addendum to any other action.
