Name: Jose Escobar on Sep 21, 2012Comments: The rail road track runs right behind my house and every morning at 5:30 am as soon as the FrontRunner passes by at an incredible speed of 80mph it startles me and wakes me up, There is no way im the only person that this is happening to. Not to mention the annoyance of it passing every 30 mins. It is loud and disturbing. Then at midnight same thing happens, I'll be in bed and all of a sudden get woken up by the noise of the train. Something needs to be done. Putting up a sound wall would help eliminate some of this noise.Flag

It turns out they are very loud, cause significant vibration, and visual disturbance. I think the least UTA can and should do is to lower the speed of the trains passing by our neighborhood.Flag

It its very uncomfortable and I only have stayed for a few hours, I can't imagine leaving there and dealing with that noise issue.Flag

Comments: The FrontRunner will be a huge progress change for Utah County. It's an accomplishment that brings good and bad. I was thrilled when they had made this announcement. Although, when good things happen you always wonder what will be the bad side of it. In this case it's the loud noise of the FrontRunner. Unfortunately, the homes that reside right behind the FrontRunner trax receive such an unbearable disturbance noise and as well I can see once this takes place the cause of mental illnesses it may cause due to the intolerable noise. I know by putting sound wall to protect these homes will make a huge difference. Best regards, JennyFlag -
