In the State of Florida there is no governing entity over Homeowners Associations and basically they can do whatever they want. They realize the average person cannot afford to fight them in court and most attorney's will frown upon such a case. Unless you are wealthy or low income you have no where to turn. I am looking to get legislation passed to govern these association and set down some guidelines. Did you know a Homeowners Association foreclosed on a woman's house because she owed 78 cents - that's right 78 cents. Please join me in telling the HOA's we have had enough. Thank you!
