Name: Karen Turner on Oct 23, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: Kids should be able to expree what they feel as far as their sexuality preferences, even in school, within reason such as maybe a quick kiss, or holding hands. Many of us who weren't given the chance to do such as that while in school, who are gay or lesbian, have been cheated out of time that might have been used more wisely getting to know and accept ourselves better. I know that if it wasn't so taboo back then (I graduated in 1982) many more of us would have gotten off to a much better start. It turns out that my best friend that happened to be a guy was struggling with the same hidden issues I was, and neither of us was ever comfortable enough to talk about it. I would hate to have to deny someone else the chance that I was not given way back then.Flag

Name: Cassandra Padia on Dec 5, 2002State: COCountry: USComments: people should not discriminate against gays or lesbians they are people just like you but they preferre the same sex. People should let them justlive their own life and deal with this whole gay things on their own. Gay people have feelings too and they are living and have a heart.Flag

Name: Michael Scott on Jan 18, 2003State: KYCountry: USComments: I hated school and almost quit many times due to fear for my life from threat made by school mates! (I was a closet case then) Meaning I never told anyone I was gay! I tried several attempts at suicide rather then go to school! I began ditching classes where the bullies were at. I couldnt study in class because of the bullies hitting me etc..I couldnt tell the teachers cause they thought it was funny and condoned it and sometimes would leave the room on purpose as to NOT witness the attacks! Those days were my worst! I had knives and guns put to my neck and head and they even tried to flush my head down the tiolet in the bathroom. I lived in constant fear! (Kinda hard to fight back against 4 or 5 bullies! I hated school more then anything!Flag

Name: Robert Robertson on Feb 14, 2003State: ORCountry: USComments: SEXUALITY SHOULD NOT BE PART OF OUR SCHOOLS AT ALL. HOMOSEXAULITY HAS NO PLACE IN SCHOOLS .IF ANYONE TRYS TO NORMLISE THE GAY LIFESTILE THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED . THIS IS A LIFE SYILE THAT HAS NO PLACE AROUND YOUNG PEAPLE , IF THEY WANT TO BECOME GAY ONCE THEY ARE ADULTS SO BE IT BUT THEY SHOULD NEVER SEE IT AS A NATERAL LIFE STILE. IF A GAY LIFE STILE WAS NORMAL THEN GAYS COULD MAKE LITTLE GAYS .Flag
