Name: Brenda Schneider on Sep 26, 2008Comments: I strongly agree with all of the above comments. This is a residential area and this type of business does not belong in the area. There are children who play in the streets and go to the library next door! People are constantly walking home from the tube late at night and this type of establishment will jeoparidse their security. I strongly object to Passion Nights receiving a licence from Hammersmith & Fulham to open.Flag

Name: Virginia Hearth on Sep 26, 2008Comments: I strongly object to there being a lap dancing club in the former fox pub on north end crescent. As a young woman I would feel very unsafe in my own community, as I know that statistically incidents of rape and indecent assault increase by over 50% in areas where such establishments exist. But, this is a quiet residential area that I cannot possibly avoid to keep myself safe because I live here and I must walk through the area to access public transport and my local amenities. I am also particularly concerned about the safety of teenage girls in the area as there is a school nearby. Such an establishment would adversely affect the nature of the community and the lives of the people that have chosen to live in the area for its peace and quiet and community spirit.Flag

Name: Christopher Davie on Sep 26, 2008Comments: Dear sirs, The Avonmore neighbourhood is far from a nice and quiet but thankfully it is improving slowly over time. I have recently invested everything I own into my first flat. While I was worried that the neighbourhood was not the best I felt that it had the potential to improve. When I first noticed the renovation work on the dilapidated old building on the corner, I was thrilled as I thought that it would be finally turned into something nice and a positive addition to the area. I am abslutely horrified that this might become a lap dancing club. That is the LAST thing this neighbourhood needs - it will bring in the worst element of society and we do not deserve that. I also have a small daughter and I feel that if this is approved I will have to move out of the neighbourhood. Please do not let this happen to our neighbourhood. Christopher DavieFlag

Name: Philippa & Graham Fish on Sep 27, 2008Comments: We are strongly opposed to the opening of the Passion Nights lapdancing club at the end of our street. This is currently a safe, child-friendly area of London and feel that this establishment and its patrons are not in keeping with the area. We are particularly concerned that it neighbours a public library, frequented by families and children.Flag

Name: Frederic Fontaine on Sep 27, 2008Comments: I have been living in this quiet neighborhood with wife and two kids for the past 5 years. The fox is right on the track of kids going home between the station of west kensignton and north end house. There is a public library next door and I understand also schools up the road. There is no way we should authorise this club to open and generate at trafiic of frustrated adults in our streets, we are TOTALLY OPPOSED TO IT,Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 27, 2008Comments: I feel that it is enitrely inappropriate for such an establishment to be allowed to open in what is essentially a quiet residential area. Our community would see a potential harmful change in the type of activities that could be attracted to the venue itself and its surrounding area. Please refuse this application for the sake of our community.Flag

Name: V. Martin on Sep 28, 2008Comments: A lapdancing club is the last thing that this neigbourhood needs. This a very family orientated community with lots of young children. This sort of bussiness would atract the wrong kind of people to the area, increase crime and putting our children in danger. I hope that this petition is firmly rejected.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 28, 2008Comments: I am strongly opposed to the opening of the Passion Nights lapdancing club at The Fox. This is a quiet residential area and I feel that it will become a cesspit full of unpleasant individuals and I believe it will also become a dangerous area to live in especially for women and children. One person raped, molested or even murdered is one too many.Flag

Name: Harry Burchnall on Sep 28, 2008Comments: I want to voice my concerns over allowing such an establishment to be opened in what is mainly a residential area. This building would be far more appropriate if it was a service that would suit this areas demographic. It seems to me the that in the immediate vacinity of this potentially strip club is a large proportion of low income housing (next to the library). A strip club will just attract the wrong sorts of people and have far more detrimental than positive impacts in an area that needs positive influences. This area of West Kensington to me and my girlfriend especially, seems more dodgy than safe so please heed my concerns and make the appropriate call. 112 Edith Road W149APFlag

Name: Joanne Rapson on Sep 29, 2008Comments: I am a 30 year female living at the post code W148RU. There is no other alternative way for me to walk home from the tube, unless I go past the Fox and I think the clientele that a strip would bring to our neighbourhood would decrease its safety, the drunken clientele would increase the violence of our neighbourhood (from faults to sexual assaults)Flag

Name: Dimitrios Dimopoulos W14 9AH on Sep 29, 2008Comments: I find the idea of having a lapdancing club in a residential area really disgusting. I live with my wife and one year old son at Wellesley Mansions on Edith Villas which is just a few meters away from the venue under discussion. North end road is an already busy and loud road. There are kebab shops that people visit after a late night out, a sports pub at the corner of Talgarth road and North end road which creates a lot of commotion after the games, and other food and off licence shope that are open till quite late at night. I strongly believe that any kind of club and ESPECIALLY a lap dancing club would be horrible for the area and the residents. Incidents of rape, assault and violence would increase and north end road would become a playground for drinking, eating and partying till late at night I am a law abiding citizen, paying my taxes (and council taxes for that matter) and I strongly object having a LAPDANCING club just a few meters away from my son’s bedroom window. I find it appalling to know that when I take my son out in his push chair he would have to look at the signs and posters of lap dancers. I find it disturbing to know that when I come back home after a night out to a friends place or a movie I would have to look over my shoulder for any male frustrated drunk individuals ( because these are the people who can potentially go to a lap dancing venue). Finally I find it an irony to even contemplate the idea of having a lap dancing venue next to a library that so many kids visit.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 29, 2008Comments: Dear Mr Overton, I am writing to express my sincere objection for the opening of a lap dancing club in the place of the previous fox pub. The area is already troubled with car thefts, stealing and general problems with the young people in the area, without the provocation of a club to add to it. The area is a residential one, with schools, nurseries and families which is not the most suitable place to introduce a night club in its place. As a resident of flat 9 wellesley mansions, edith villas, w14 9ah, it will be a huge negative if this club is allowed to go ahead. The noise, trouble and mess this will create will only waste police time and efforts when it can be avoided in the first place. I hope these are reasons enough to prevent this club from opening. Best Regards Angela DimopoulosFlag

Name: Dannielle Taaffe on Sep 29, 2008Comments: If this club opens, the safety of the local area will decrease exceptionally and rapidly. There are many young female professionals living and working in this area, who will be at risk by the proven anti-social behaviour and crime lap dancing clubs attract. This area is primarily a residential area and should stay as such.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 29, 2008Comments: My partner and I have recently moved into the area and I am gravely concerned about the opening of this club. This is a residential area with many children in it and local schools. Putting a lapdancing club in this area will be completely out of character with the neighbourhood and could endanger local people by encouraging drunken clientele in search of sex. I wholeheartedly want this application to be refused.Flag
