Dr Abdul Kadir | I strongly disagree with the coucil on the plan to close 22 schools just because they think they are not ncessary. We should improve the Schools not get rid of them We want better education, better health service, better safetiness and security. And ultimately we want a BETTER BRITAIN.

Bob Starratt | I'm happy to sign the petition, as the Council's cuts are also adversely affecting the Community Learning & Development (Adult Education) programme, and many students, tutors and admin workers are becoming very discouraged.
A Load of Crok | The petition is crap. The consultation has been voided by the full council Why do you still have it at the top of your page.

j.fortune | typical labour nonsense. If they had retained power, the same thing would have happened. How about a petition to find out exactly what happened to Wendy Alexander and her so-called benefactors.

Anonymous | I attended both Grassmarket nursery and Stockbridge primary that they now plan to knock down. My primary was wonderful because it was small the teachers could give you more attention and support, the kind you cannot get if your all crammed into a big school. I think it will be very sad if this goes ahead.

Amanda Cummings | Stockbridge Primary School has an enormous history and is a huge part of the community here. Many of the residents of Stockbridge attended the school or have children or relatives that attend the school. Myself and my younger siblings all attended the school and I hope that in the future, my own children will be able to attend such a wonderful school.
