We, the students of YU, demand that our Student Government put an end to the ongoing corruption that has infused our Student Court. The Student Court has held a secret meeting to fire the SOY President, accusing him of violating the YU Constitution. While the 4 or 5 members of the court have the power to hold secret meetings to determine if an elected official violated the Constitution, they themselves have been violating the Constitution. Article 11 Section 4 of the Constitution states:

The Student Court shall hold at least one non-trial meeting per semester to review any actions taken by the court since the last meeting and to produce and make public a Student Court Official Report that must contain a summation of any actions taken by the Student Court, and any rulings of the Student Court, including the opinions themselves and commentary on them. 

The Student Court has not met and has not produced or made public any reports. Instead, they choose to operate in secrecy, recklessly pursuing a dangerous agenda. We, the students, call on our student leaders, the members of the General Assembly, to suspend the judges and set up a committee to investigate their violation of the Constitution. How can the Student Court determine if someone is violating the Constitution when they themselves are violating it too? Stop the Student Court and Stop the Corruption!
