Nicholas Butcher | Please make sure news of this gets around so people can decide for themselves how they want the future New Zealand to be.

Davy McLean | You have my support, to not support the Immigration Bill.
Clinton Smith | We don't need to abandon our fair and just immigration system to protect us from the terrorist bogeyman.

Idiot/Savant | The billis a human rights disaster which should not be passed in its present form.
Mike Porton |
Alasdair Muckart | The violations of human rights entrenched in this bill are not something any western democracy should vote into law. I will not vote for any MP or party, ever, who supports this bill through parliament. It is an embarrasment to the country I now call my home after immigrating here 18 years ago.
Sam Vilain | No doubt this is the result of being cajoled by overseas "anti-terrorism" acts. See through them, don't sacrifice NZ's fine reputation.
Stephen Rowe | Prove they would face a worse risk of torture *than usual* - disgusting.
George Darroch | This bill is a travesty against rights and justice.

Colin England | This bill rides roughshod over our rights and asserts the infallibility of government officials. Both of which we've been at extreme pains to get rid of for the last few centuries. We really do not want or need a bill that takes us back to the Dark Ages.

Pat McMullan | As one whose anscestors were forced to migrate because of colonial policies in Nth Ireland, I find this bill deeply troubling.

Ben Mitt | The titled intent of this bill seems innocent enough, But upon further examination it becomes clear that there is a further agenda with a rather different intent underling this bills' proclaimed intent. and with the antismacking bill it seems obvious that there is a concerted effort to erode the New Zealand citizens civil freedoms. I start to view every action this government takes with a degree of suspicion, What other bills pass through under the guise of a good titled intent yet enact a very different outcome. Im a KIWI who used to say "she'll be right", but its not! its time for all of us to say "Not here mate."
Jacob Diggle | I am a passionate Labour supporter but this is an absurd Bill and must not be passed. We have to manage our economy through these difficult time ans I understand that immigration is an important matter but we must defend the rights of NZers and this Bill does exactly the opposite!

David Hay | There may, as the government asserts, be aspects of this bill which are praiseworthy, but there is so much which is ill-conceived and downright unjust that the bill cannot be allowed to proceed.

Lets see some money poured into the vital services to ensure that the current legislation and policies are funded and effective. In particular, personal safety in the streets. |
Anonymous | This Bill is both legally and morally unacceptable.

Simon Bidwell | As it stands, this Bill erodes basic common law rights and constitutes a rejection of the liberal internationalist values that NZ claims to stand for. While nation states still structure much of the movement and interaction of peoples, we should be striving to act on the principle that human rights transcend borders, not seeking to further restrict their ambit.
