Since the beginning of organized competition, women have been subjugated to oppression in sports and the media by men. They should not be treated any differently than a man would in their respected position just because of their gender. We call for gender equality in all positions of sports and media by: 1. Requiring all members in the field of sports journalism and media to attend a gender equality orientated class. 2. Having stricter disciplinary actions for those who treat women in a misogynistic manner. 3. Incorporating one female official/referee in all sports matches. 4. Increasing women's national sporting media coverage from the current 5% to 10% by next year. 5. Removing laws segregating women and men from playing in the same game. 6. Abolishing all bans on women from the sport of golf.
