Name: Connie M. on Sep 27, 2007Comments: This really upsets me. I am signing this petition just so my voice can be heard, but I wholeheartedly do not agree with the mis-lead purpose of this petition. While I fully agree, Schoolyard's lyrics are very dark and different from your average pop fair ( it took myself a while to get used to) they are great actors and great song writter's. They care about their fans and would never lead them astray. I am the mom of 2 children and I understand a parents concern. I just wish the parents on this knew them as well as I do,and how nice, polite, articulate, caring and compassionate they all are.. I encourage these parents to go see the band and discuss their concerns about the lyrics..Would you not your children read Dante's Inferno, Frankenstein or Dracula, all great works of fiction that deal with dark subject matterFlag

Name: Bryce on Sep 28, 2007Comments: yes, i am also parent afraid of the evil schoolyard heroes. I hear that they are actually demons here to use music for evil. I saw the guitarist and bass player turn into bats once, and they flew around shooting lasers out of their eyes at the crowd. I got hit and have two gnarly laser scars now. Clearly we need to stop further demon bat-lasering by this band. By the way, this was a total joke. SYH rocks.Flag

Name: Brian on Sep 28, 2007Comments: Here's an idea for all the parents who are afraid of their kids listening to this and running away: TALK TO YOUR FUCKING KIDS! This is just a result of the baby harness wearing generation of parents. Kids are not meant to be strapped into pouches for you to wear, they're meant for you to HOLD and to TALK TO. GET TO KNOW YOUR KIDS god damn it. Maybe then you could find out that your kids have problems.Flag

Name: Jacob Young on Sep 28, 2007Comments: Wow . Maybe they ran away from because of your controlling ness.. or whatever. This band is simpliy amazing. their straight edge and have come a long way to get to where they are now. i congradulate them. But for the parents on the other hand i dont. You can never stop them from listening to what they want. geez grow the fuck up. And they are not satanic. what bullshit.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 28, 2007Comments: you people ar dumbasses. it's a band. get the hell over it. and their music is actually very good, if you take the time to listen to it. Ryann has some of the best vocals that I've EVER heard in my life. if you think that your children are going to start worshipping Satan or whatever because of them then a.) you're stupid. b.) you've raised some stupid kids. and c.) HAHAHAHAHA ;) this makes me so mad, dude. well, whatever. I have mad love for SchoolyardFlag

Name: Paul Johnson on Sep 28, 2007Comments: PARENTS WHO CARE ABOUT THEIR KIDS: "A warning for those of you lazy self absorbed and/or just plain inattentive parents: All the censorship in the world won't make up for bad parenting. If your child is more influenced by our music than by Mommy & Daddy, both you and your offspring have much bigger problems than our lyrics. So before you go hauling us or any other artist into court, look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you did the best you could, because if you're considering taking us to court, you didn't." -James EuringerFlag

Name: Kelsea Basye on Sep 28, 2007Comments: Are you kidding Schoolyard Heroes are many things. But one thing they are not is SATANIC and EVIL. My own MOTHER supports SYH one hundred percent. This makes me so very angry. There are so many worse things your children could be doing than listening to ROCK music. Think drugs. (Yeah. Schoolyard Heroes are STRAIGHT EDGE. For all you oldies out there, that means they DON'T so drugs, at all. Not even ciggarettes or alcohol.) Okay. Had to put my two cents in. And praise to Jacob for Signing, I LOVE YOU JACOB! -Kelsea.Flag
