PROTECT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE IN AVERY COUNTY

PETITION to the Honorable Members of the Avery County Commission:

We, the undersigned residents and property owners of Avery County, North Carolina, and other concerned citizens, urge the Avery County Commission to enact an ordinance protecting the health, safety and quality of life of area residents by regulating the location and operation of high-impact, polluting industries in Avery County, including but not limited to gravel quarries such as the one proposed on Burleson Bald Mountain in the residential communities of Ingalls and Green Valley.
